As you can tell - I have been busy. I was swamped with work for a few weeks. My train-wreck patient is doing better. I would post photos of her - but it would probably gross out too many of you (photos available on request) SHe is going to the plastic surgeon next week and hopefully he will take over her care.
I have been working diligently on my yard....I have a long way to go on that!
My future spec house is no longer an option. I am saddened to learn that my greediness was my downfall. I guess I annoyed the realtor to the point he won't talk to me anymore. If it was meant to be - it will be!
I am trying to get my summer vacation plans in place. I have been in contact with a few of you.... still trying to work out the details. Could really use a week in Mexico drinking coronas and getting tan! Speaking of tan...I tried one of those body lotions that contains skin pigment (bronzers/ "glow") Can't really say it works! I do have some color but it looks so fake! And make sure you put it on even, it comes in a white lotion and dries clear so it is hard to determine where you are putting it. Needless to say my elbows are orange and my feet (which I didn't do) look stupid next to my somewhat tan ankles!!!
Oh well- I am here to help others succeed where I have failed!

Nothing better than snow in the spring! That is sarcasm! We are having January weather currently and I wouldn't mind so much if we didn't have summer weather just two weeks ago. How long can winter hang on for? The forcast is cold ALL WEEK!
I had a great time in Chicago with my podiatry school friends. We had a great "sponsored" evening on Friday with drinks in the hotel bar, followed by dinner at "Tavern on Rush" and drinks and dancing at The Hunt Club until the wee hours of the morning. I was dog tired but still managed to eek out a little fun on Saturday night too! Slept in on Sunday and had a crazy busy week last week.
I talked to Katie this past weekend regarding her upcoming project! She is quite ambitious. I can't wait to see photos. But I also told her about this patient of mine who has been terribly sick and in the hospital for the past 4 weeks. I let her leave this morning to go to an appt. in Chicago with a plastic surgeon I hope can help me save her leg. I am a bit worried and have had a splitting headache all day so far.
Had surgery this morning on a young girl. I used some new instrumentation, that I think will revolutionize bunion surgery. The case went awesome.... hope her post-op course goes well.
Any news from Stokes on when she is coming into town? I am trying to plan a trip up north.... would love to catch up with everyone!!!!
