This blog was intended as a means to stay in contact with friends, share photos and memories, pose questions, learn from others, etc. The dialog is one dimensional - lacks tone, inflection, and sarcasm. Meaning: what is read by one reader can be interpreted differently by another. All posts are from me and reflect how I was feeling and events in my life at the time. I am entitled to my feelings.
I rather enjoyed the blog site but with all that is going on currently do not feel like sharing my personal feelings, thoughts, and life on the internet. What has been expressed on the blog site is just a small glimpse of my life. To all my loyal readers- Thanks for the memories!!!! See ya around!

The weather here has been HOT! Slightly unusual for this time of year but none the less enjoyable. I have been swimming at my friends house, enjoying the beach, and planting flowers in my yard. I was inspired by Hope's photos of her garden and am trying to copy her and wow her with my master gardening skills. (So far though, it is not working) I will pass judgment after the flowers have had time to grow together some. I think the estimated height and spacing advice is ridiculous! When I was down in TX, they planted things on top of one another and they looked great!
Hmm- so much for following directions.
As for the Big "D"- What a great time! I thoroughly enjoyed myself and behaved too! I am waiting to see photos of the festivis so I can steal some and post on my blog!
Was really glad to just relax and enjoy! Thanks Cari and Mel and Jeny! You ladies rock! Was really proud of Jeny for reliving the days of college (almost) no really.... it was nice to let our hair down and party! p.s. I offered half of the full bed, it just was probably as nice on the floor- and at that hour- who cares!
I will miss girls weekend though. :(
Cari's wedding is almost here too! Crazy! She is going to the chapel and she's going to get married! Yeah, cheers to you! Wonder if you have used any of your bachelorette items yet????
Well- I am going to enjoy the remainder of the day planting a few more flowers and reading (jeny would be proud). I will take some photos and post later.

Aaron is gone tonight working afar. He has been really busy with a new adventure that might take him international! How cool would that be to go to Dubai?!?! Even my mom said she would go and visit! Check that place out on the internet!

So much for my post yesterday. I was incorrect on the order of events. At least I truly hope that I am incorrect. One baby came yesterday (as far as I know) but it wasn't the one I thought would come. I guess babies are unpredictable...no matter how much you plan. Somewhat nice to have "good" unpredictability in your life. Congratulations Danielle and Mark! Awaiting news from Hope!

We are being attacked by the 17 year cicada!! I really thought we would avoid this plaque of insect but I stand corrected! For those of you unfamiliar, there is an insect called a cicada. A certain species of this insect has a 17 year life cycle. It is year 17 and the bugs are surfacing to mate. They are HUGE, over 2" in size and fly around. Once they mate, the female lays the eggs in trees. The adults die once they have mated and fullfilled their duties. The larvae then hatch and fall to the ground where they mature over the course of 17 years!!! Crazy huh! I assumed we wouldn't see any because our house is new and this area (my immediate subdivision) doesn't contain a lot of trees. You see the trees have to be at least 17 years old to have cicadas emerging from the ground around the trees. But it appears the insects travel great distances. Have wings - will travel; and our heading our way from neighboring subdivisions!
Well- The cicada can harm small trees and arborvitae so i have to go get some netting to protect my trees!!!! These insects have a mating call that is really loud and sounds like a buzzing noise all day long. They aren't even that close to us and we have only seen small numbers of them. I can't imagine how loud the noise will be when they are close and in large numbers. Luckily- they are only around for 4-6 weeks!!!!

Aaron and I worked our tails off down at my mom's for Memorial Day. As usual my brothers failed to show up and help. One had "previous commitments" and the other was "sick"! Sick of work probably! But my fearless cousin helped and we got the job done! When we got there....my cousin had already started working and somehow we ended up re-landscaping the entire yard! Bit off more than we could chew but needless to say, I went down on Thursday afternoon and finished the work. It looks awesome!!! Still some odds and ends to tie up and then I will post photos.
Can't wait for my college friends to have their babies!!! Recently I was reorganizing my photo album and filed the photos of Hope's first baby shower! Memories!
I was tracked down with an invite to my high school 15 year reunion!!! Won't be able to attend but the invite brought back thoughts of high school. I really do not miss high school at all!!! College - YES; podiatry school- YES; but high school -NO!
I will have to dig out my yearbook and look up some people. Wonder were everyone is now. Didn't seem like there was much interest in the reunion and that the committee was having a difficult time locating folks!
