Strange day yesterday. Check this out!
Had some meetings in the morning and a meeting set for 1:30 in the afternoon. Stopped by the office to "check on things" at lunch time and saw a meal for our friends the Bush's. (side bar : the Bush family recently lost their daughter tragically and a dinner chain has been establish to drop meals off for them) Since I live somewhat close to them, I offered to transport the food. Well, a second dish was arriving at our office at 1 pm so I waited for it too! Now- I have to race home (20mins) and pick up some paperwork needed for my meeting with the bank at 1:30. Didn't arrive to mtg until 2 p.m. Was stuck at the bank until 4:45 p.m. Finally get out to my car and I realized my cell phone battery was dead. I tried to revive it with this cheap crappy charger I borrowed from a friend in an emergency prior, but the phone was acting goofy and turning off suddenly. Hooked up with the lady to pass the food off to and she asked me if everything was ok. Why do you ask? Well your office has been trying to get a hold of you. Really?!? Turns out- the office called me slightly after 2 pm and I didn't answer. Then when the food lady called to find out what time we were meeting the office got worried. See- I am pretty punctual and always answer my beeper. They tried paging me and I didn't get it. So I didn't respond. That made the office PANIC! Dr. Coleman called Aaron and asked him if he had seen me and that they couldn't get in touch with me! Was I hurt?
Aaron forgot about my meeting and started freaking out! Tells my boss - did you call Greg (this sales rep that I associate with)
Unbelievable! My boyfriend of 11 years thinks I am out with this guy Greg! What is that! Should he think, maybe, I was in a car accident, lost my phone, Fell asleep, NO he thinks I am out with this guy!

How should I interpret that!?!

Nice to know how much everyone cares about me though :)

What a great week! I was off several days for snow! Yeah!
I have been pondering colors to paint in my house. Typically, I select a color, start painting and decide I don't like it. This cycle will repeat itself over and over until Aaron gets cranky and hires someone to help me. Last time (at Idaho) the painter who was hired did a great job selecting colors! For those of you who missed my blowout 30th birthday party, the whole house was painted prior to the party - and it looked great! So- I have been trying to pick colors. Well- during the snow vacation, I went and bought a gallon of a color I thought would be nice. I started painting, and kept on painting, and painted the kitchen/ dinette area. I really like it! Liked it almost immediately! This never happens! One shot and I got it right! Crazy- all those home do-it-yourself shows (as Aaron likes to say "me and this gay guy are going to F---- up your house) have really paid off!

Also- My last townhouse finally sold!!! That is so exciting for me. Free up some capital to purchase and build my "dream" home!!! Which- I already have the lot and the house plans selected. I saw this house being built up in Michigan and loved it! (not right away of course, typical me) I will try to post photos. The lot is located in a beach community on Lake Michigan. Not ON the Lake but close to it!
Looks like I will be busy this year.

Work is starting to pick up. January was decent, but February has been slow. Hopefully March will be great!

Some of you have spouses in the mortgage/finance business- any advice on financing vacant property with little to no money down. Do I have to do it as a construction loan? I was researching it on-line but didn't find much info.

Hope all is well with my friends :)

Happy Valentine's Day!!
I am officially snowed in! I believe we received 8" but the wind was blowing so strong I have 24" snow drifts in my driveway and sidewalk area. Ah, snow! I should bottle it and ship it to my friends down south.

Tragedy struck a friend of mine this past week. Their 5 year old daughter died from a killer aggressive strain of the flu. Horrible story. Really makes you feel awful. Apparently, other children have succumbed to the flu as well but no media coverage regarding the severity of the symptoms. The family went to see the pediatrician THAT DAY and they said it was just the flu.... 10 hours later the child was dead. Such a shame!

OH Brr! It has been really cold here lately and it is not suppose to let up for a week! That is not nice...since we are into February now! Gearing up for spring!!

Slow week for me. Aaron has not been working lately (secretly it is driving me crazy). I give him a list of things to do and he is doing a few of them. I am glad for that. He also is making meals- last night we had beef filets wrapped in bacon and it was to die for!!! We also went shopping for a few things in CHicago (I had the day off too!) and he did fairly well shopping!

I am an ebay fanatic- especially when it comes to Pottery Barn items. I purchased drapes and drape rods through ebay and was so thrilled at how "cheap" the price was. Turns out the rods I bought do not match - so I can't hang my drapes. Well yesterday at the P.B. store - I found a rod like one of the ones I have, so I bought it. Get home and find out the mounting brackets are totally different! Ugh! Can't win! Really wish I lived next to the pottery barn outlet store!
